Martin DCPA3 Acoustic Guitar

Marty Schwartz showcases and goes over his new Martin DCPA3 Guitar. According to Marty:
  • The D stands for "dreadnought" which describes the most common shape of an acoustic guitar
  • The C stands for "cut away" which is the notch at the bottom that lets the player get easier access to the lower frets on the neck's fretboard
  • The P stands for Performance or Performer. This type of acoustic guitar designation means it was built for professional performance
  • The A stands for Acoustic. It means the guitar is an acoustic nylon string musical instrument
  • The 3 stands for the model version
Let's take a look at Marty's discussion of his new Martin DCPA3 guitar.

  1. D-Dreadnought
    C-Cutaway
    PA-Performing Artist (Series)
    3-Model number in the series

It is a steel stringed instrument, not nylon.
